Ron Dayne is the greatest Badger of all time, in my opinion. while he may not have had a hall of fame NFL career, winning the Heisman Trophy and setting the rushing record in college along with two consecutive Rose Bowl victories certainly cements him in Badger history. To my knowledge, there are no Ron Dayne shield patch autos out there, but this is the next best thing: a hand numbered, game worn shield. This was a Christmas present to myself in 2024; it’s hard to get more epic than this as far as Badger cards go.
I also recently had the pleasure of buying a birthday drink for Ron after seeing him out at the Brass Ring in Madison, this selfie would have blown my mind if I’d seen it in middle school:
