While I primarily collect Badger and Packer players (along with surefire hall of famers like Brady and Mahomes), I also make sure to have autos of all of the major QB rookies every year (which started after I passed on chasing Mahomes in 2017, which was a big mistake). Right now, we’re in a weird era where Panini has the right to make licensed NFL cards but Topps has the exclusive auto rights for a lot of the big rookies, especially the quarterbacks. As a consolation prize, we at least had Topps Chrome and Topps Finest release this year with autos of the major quarterbacks, and Topps did a decent job of making it obvious that they were unlicensed. This teal Jayden /199 is about as classic as you can get for a QB rookie auto, and has great eye appeal despite the lack of Commanders logos.
