Camp Randall Cards

A Wisconsin Sports Card and Memorabilia Collection

Arnie Herber Signed 3×5 Card

Both a Badger and Packer legend, Arnie left college at age 19 to turn pro and join the Packers. When we did, he re-wrote the passing records while leading the team, still coached by Curly Lambeau, to many titles. He first threw to Johnny Blood, and then to Don Hutson, where they worked together to create the modern wide receiver position. He died young, and there are virtually no cut autos of his in cards, so we have to work with things like 3×5 cards. I found this BGS authenticated auto and was able to talk to the seller to learn its backstory; it came from an autograph collector who built most of his collection through the mail in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

I’ve also included some of the other recent Packer autos from that era that I’ve acquired, as part of a mission to fill out my collection of Packer legends from the first couple decades of the league.
