One of the goals I’ve always had for my collection is to be able to tell the story of the NFL through cards. I’ve been on a mission to fill out autos from some of the legends of the first couple decades of the league, with a focus on Hall of Fame Packers, and Hall of Fame quarterbacks. There are a few others I had to try and track down, and one of the hardest to find a clean, cut auto of is Jim Thorpe. One of the most legendary athletes of all time across many sports, I was delighted to find one of the nicest autos of his that I’ve ever seen in a recent showcase from Heritage Auctions.
I’ve also included some of the other recent non-Packer autos from that era that I’ve acquired.
